Candlesticks like these, featuring a combination of onyx and brass, could have been made in various regions known for their craftsmanship in metalwork and stone carving. The closest we have found of anything similar to these were made in India. India has a rich history of metalwork and stone carving traditions. Places like Jaipur, Moradabad, and Jodhpur are renowned for their brass and stone craftmanship.
The candlesticks are in very good vintage condition. One of the tops is very slightly unlevel, but it is hard to tell if this is original to the crafting or not. The piece seems very solid and does not appear to have been bent so it leads us to believe it is original.
